Between 2012 and 2021 at the State Theater and the Tlaqna Cultural Center, the OSX has held 603 concerts, of which the total number of attendees amounts to 415,000, it has also held 122 educational concerts with a total attendance of more than 67,415 people. In addition, groups belonging to the Department of Artistic Groups of the UV have made 465 educational concerts as well as 3,375 presentations in university forums that have benefited and reached more than 500,000 people. In the pandemic, the “UV Art From the Inside” program was created, presenting artistic groups online, reaching 30 countries with more than 5 million users.

In the last 5 years, the city of Xalapa has invested more than 12 million dollars in infrastructure and productive equipment to support the various musical activities that take place in the city. Likewise, the cost to sustain the musical and academic offerings, which includes social programs for access and enjoyment of the vulnerable population, amounts to 39 million dollars. Annual revenues, mainly made up of private initiative (represented by the community of 2,500 musicians living in the city, as well as support companies), amount to 2.7 million dollars. It is worth mentioning that, although the academic and cultural programs offered by the Universidad Veracruzana, the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra and the Municipality of Xalapa have their own funds, in a complementary manner, productive activities are carried out, as well as the collection and recovery of additional resources for meet the city’s demand in the best way.
